What is included in the wedding coverage?
Wedding coverage includes Sandra and Chris as your photographers, a disc of all your proofs (printable up to 8x12) and your proofs online.
What should I wear for our portrait session?
Solid colors photograph best. If you don’t want to match exactly, have everyone wear jeans and a shirt of a similar shade. You can do unlimited looks during your session so bring a few outfits. If we are outside, bring a towel – we may have you walk in the ocean or run through a fountain! Avoid clothing that has bold stripes, big patterns or wording on it. And don’t forget to bring props – college hats, bikes, kites – anything that defines your family.
What are proofs?
Your proofs are the final images chosen by Sandra Johnson Photography. We usually delete photos if you blink. They are not fully retouched by the lab, but they do have some adjustments made. For example, some of them are converted to black and white.
Can we print from the proof disc?
Yes, all of the proofs can be printed up to 8x12. If you need larger prints, you will need to order them from our professional lab. You can also order digital files that are fully retouched.
If I order printed proofs, what size will they be?
The printed proofs are 4x6 inches.
Will the prints that I order from you look just like my proofs?
Not necessarily. Prints that we make for you or for your wedding album will be color corrected, retouched (if needed) and printed on professional paper by a professional lab.
How soon after my session can I expect to see the proofs?
We try to finish your proofs within two weeks after your wedding, but it also depends on the time of year that you get married. For example, November and December are always very busy months for us and it may take longer for us to prepare your images for proofing. For portrait sessions, the proofs are usually finished in about a week.
Do you offer photo guest books?
We offer two types of guest books – a guest book album and a guest book frame. The guest book album is 8x8 and it is designed with white space for your guests to sign. The guest book frame is a custom frame that holds either an 11x14 or a 16x20 print. The mat board is larger than usual to allow guests to sign it.
Do you have discounts for non-Saturday weddings?
We have two special packages for weekday and Sunday weddings – they are the one and two hour coverages.
Can we get a discount if we only have Sandra or Chris as our photographer – not both?
Sandra and Chris are a team, so we don’t offer any coverage where we split up.
Can I change my wedding coverage after I sign the contract?
Yes. We only book one wedding a day, so you can change the amount of time you originally booked us for and you can also change the time of the ceremony and/or reception.
Can I pick the location for my portrait session?
Yes, we photograph all over town and out at the beach. Let us know if you need some suggestions.
Can we include our dogs in a few family photos?
Yes! If we are not doing a shoot where your dog is in every photo, be sure to bring a friend to handle your dogs when we don’t include them.
Can you hold my date for me?
We hold weddings with a contract and a retainer that is 30% of your total. We hold portrait sessions with a $100 retainer. Retainers are non-refundable but depending on the date they could be transferred to a new date. Both weddings and portraits are booked on a first come first served basis.
